Rob, that sounds like Carl Dwiggins old Chevelle. He had added the cowl plenum years ago and that is the only Yenko Chevelle that I have ever seen with it. It was featured in the June 1988 Car Craft..............RatPack......................

Just because they are REGGIE cars is their value enhanced? IMO REGGIE is just a dealer, roller that has the funds to try to play the market. I don't really think he knows or gives a rip about these cars!!! I have tried to have casual conversations about these cars with him and found him to be a complete jerk!! All he wanted to know was what I thought they were worth. I honestly don't think of him as a "Car Guy" It might be a powerplay for him, who knows?? Jim I apologize for sounding so negative, but this aura about a "REGGIE" car just bugs me!!

I can't imagine how many tire-kickers and BS'ers he has encountered over the years. I personally had never seen a Reggie car in person, until Holub's new acquisitions. They are all very nice cars. Is it a business, or hobby? Both I would say, not just him, but most of us. I have heard he has in excess of 125 cars. Rumor has it he is selling off some cars due to a new business venture. I just acquired a fathom green, 42k unrestored Copo camaro that he owned for 7 years in the 80's. Heavily documented. Gentleman I purchased the car from has had it stored for 13 years. Is it worth more because it was his? Can't hurt, makes for good conversation. To me, because my business is in the sports industry, and my 4 boys play ball, it is neat. In fact, my 16 year old is going to learn to drive a stick in this very car! Hope the clutch is in good order!

Dave, are you inferring that I am either a "tire kicker" or "BS'r" or both?? (just kidding). I just found the man to be very uncordial. I asked him for nothing and was not interested in even talking baseball and we were actually at a shoeshine stand in Seattle. As LaDonna said "he was just plain rude!!" Don't want to start a "love/hate" thread about Mr October Jim

So, was that cowl-plenum setup available from the factory on a Chevelle? Was it worth a darn performance-wise?

It was an over the parts counter item in the mid 60s. There were a few different versions to fit the different Models.

Well at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale January 2002, Mr. Reggie Jackson was Actually talking to me and Very Friendly--Oh Yea I guess it helped as I was BIDDING on his Orange COPO and he knew it. Ha-ha. We were laughing at 2 guys bidding on a '67 L-89 Corvette and when the guy was the highest bidder Reggie said "Do you know that is an L-89 Corvette NOT an L-88 Corvette?" Maybe I'll see him again this year when we go. Does anyone know the story on the automatic on the floor on his Yenko Chevelle?? Is that Correct?? Mark

I spoke to Mr. Jackson at The Barriett-Jackson in 2002 and was not bidding on his car. I found him to be really nice, and very willing to discuss cars. Midway into our conversation-Mr. Jackson asked me to call him by his first name. Perhaps he is tired of being treated as a "Public item" by so many people, and responds in a negitive way as a result. I just know that after a simple 5 minute conversation he gave me his business card and told me to call him and stop by to see his cars-anytime I was in California. (No I did not take him up on the offer)

Dave,
Reggie has been through a very large volume of cars over the years, maybe even more than both of us combined some are very nice and some were not so very nice. To make a blanket statement that all his "Reggie's" cars are nice cars would not be a very accurate satement.

I'm certain that You and Gary did get one of the "nice" ones, however.
