The only place I have ever seen this tag on unrestored cars is between the power booster check valve and the hose at the booster...BKH

As described by Brian above, that was the location of the CU tag on my '69 Z/28.

On the COPO Novas we have seen the CH hang tag on the brake booster check valve, and, a small decal on the m/c bail wire.

The CU tag is the plant code used to identify the J52 assembly to the person installing it on the car during production. This code is located in Block 56 of the Body Broadcast Sheet. It should also be listed on the Chassis Broadcast Sheet. Greg

Marlin,
On the CH tag. When you have seen both tags, was the tag on the master cylinder bail CH or a different code? Thanks, Greg
