1969 Novas with a VIN in the 394XXX range will have build dates somewhere in the 01B to 02A range. 1970 Novas with a VIN in the 394XXX range will have build dates somewhere in the 06C to 07B range. The spread between the build dates for the same VIN range might be attributable to the GM strike during the 1970 build year. I believe a 1969 Chevelle with a VIN in the 357XXX range will have build dates somewhere in the 02D to 03A range.
