can you post the casting numbers of the rearend housing, i have been told the some of the late cars
had the same casting number as a 70 camaro 12 bolt but was the same length as a 69

I have one of those late 69 axles. It does have the 70 casting # on it.
And it has a 3 digit axle code, CBS, which is a 70 style code.

I to have a 69Z 12 bolt rearend that came out of a late Z/28 car with 70 cast numbers. car was some of the last run. The rearend from drum to drum measures the same as a 69 12 bolt. I found it odd.
