Rob, It's a stick, right? Are you running on bias-ply slicks? Is the air pressure low enough to wrinkle the walls when you launch? Is track prep good? What is your launch RPM? Are you spinning or bogging? It's probably hard to really "bog" with all that big-block torque. Are you getting a good burn-out? Launching about 150-200 RPM below tire-frying revs? I assume you are "easing" it out of the hole with the clutch (no side-step)?

Please forgive all the questions, you probably already know what you are doing, I'm just trying to be helpful!
