You will need to research the ID number of the vehicle for approximate build date along with the trim tag and assembly location of the vehicle. The block casting date will need to proceed the build date of the car (not necessarly the body) and the engine assembly date will need to be after the casting date of the block. It could be from one day to four weeks for a Z28 DZ block.
There are lots of factors involved.
