Frank
Twenty years ago an editor of Street Rodding magazine said there were no more 32 Ford coupes to be found. The actual town I live in has about 350 people. In the last ten years I have seen two 32 Ford coupes surface from long term hibernation within 10 miles of my house. I know of at least 15-20 musclecars in the same area that have not seen the light of day for 20+ years. A guy (local wheeler dealer)just sold on ebay a '69 Z-28 that was picked up from the original owner for 11K. It sold for a little over 20K. This car was about 6 miles from my house and I never knew it was there. I venture to say for every car you see at a show/cruising etc there are two or more hidden in garages. Not cars that are restored or under restoration but ones the owner has no intention of fixing up. The forgotten ones.

I'm only 17 and I know of a numerous amount of cars in my neighborhood. Just a few of the cars in my neighborhood are: an x77 z28 with no motor, a 70 396 chevelle, a 69 hemi road runner, a 65 corvette in an apartment complex, an original owner 67 442 which the owner won't sell me despite the fact that it just rots. Another notable car is a 67 mustang that may be a real gt500. It has all the shelby parts. The owner said he had two mustangs with one being a real shelby and one being a clone. He doesn't know which one he sold. Of course, this one will be restored. I can't understand the people's mentality. Although these aren't supercars, it still shows there are plenty out there.

There is still quite a few cars out there to be discovered. Some original owner cars are still sitting in barns.
I know of a COPO RS Camaro still sitting...... at least it's inside. Two weeks ago on the Camaro site there was a
COPO Camaro sold just as a big block Camaro hot rod!!!! Missed it by a day. I've been waiting for someone to announce there 15 grand find here, but maybe the new owner does not know what he has!!!! No paperwork but I'd bet it's the real deal!!!
