I personally can't tell that this car is a BB, or L78 if it is a BB. I don't know exactly how to determine if those engine perches are for SB or BB. It does have all three of the body decorations like the trim tag shows, and is rallye green. I'm not sure what someone was trying to do with the drivers side 1/4 panel?

The GM 1/4's are the only ones that go all the way up the sail panel to the lead line. Novas do not have any build sheets or broadcast sheets above the gas tank, in fact, I don't know that I've ever seen a Nova build sheet. Like bbdon said, pull out the bottom of the back seat and check the underside corners for one of the broadcast sheets. If you find it, look for code Z26 for SS, and L78 for the 396/375hp. If you find a sheet, you should also find code B84 for body side molding, B90 for door frame molding, and maybe C07 for the drip rail moldings.

I found only one build sheet in a 68-70 nova and it was in my 427 gibb-harrell car. this was in the right corner of the top part of the back seat. Kim Howie

Kim;
Was it a build sheet or a body broadcast sheet? I'd love to see a Nova build sheet, I thought they pulled them all out of the cars at Willow Run!! (Can I have a copy??)

JJ's 396/375 horse 69 Nova came with a sheet. What's the difference between a build sheet and broadcast sheet. I know what my Chevelle build sheet looks like, but the Nova's is smaller, but lists all the options. Is this what you call a broadcast sheet????

Yes, the body broadcast sheet is approx. 5" x 8", and lists the frame sequence #, build date, body #, interior code, and then in the option boxes it lists some of the options - but not all of them. I think those options that relate to the body are listed, you usually don't find things like J50/J51 for power disc brakes, but will find N10 for dual exhaust (extra plate on frame rail), B84 for side moldings, M20 for the trans (different exit hole in firewall for speedo cable), and sometimes L78 for the engine - I haven't seen small block codes though. I am starting to think that there were different broadcast sheets for different areas of the car, but that is just a theory because when we find multiple broadcast sheets in a given car they have always matched each other. I'm always looking for more!
