Rick,
There are a couple of frame off LS6's at a local (far West) dealer. One is a Coupe for $60,000.00 and the other is a Rag Top for $80,000.00. If I remember correctly both are advertised as numbers matching and correct cars. I didn't see a single deep groove between the two cars. Didn't all LS6 Chevelles come with deep groove pulleys? All Solid lifter engines got them. What Dealer are you talking about? I am aiming to take my Chevelle to Willowbrook Carshow July 14th at Hinsdale South High School.. |

Rick,
There are two posi 4.10 gear codes listed for the 1970 LS6 one is listed as heavy duty. What is the difference between the two Eaton Rears? Were the two codes interchanged and were they coded specific on a build sheet. That is standard 4.10 vs Heavy Duty 4.10? L78Impala, I do not know how to decode the radio sticker. Help is needed. |

It is my understanding that the Yellow lights replaced the blue lights in late production, corresponding with the "tradtitonal" 70 model year. So 69 Camaros built after July, 69 should be yellow light. Of course, they would use up the blue lights in inventory, first, but I'll bet there are some late cars with blue lights. "for every general rule, there's an exception!"

There are two 1970 Chevelle 4:10 posi rears. CKK, and CRW.They are both equal.One is not a HD gear over the other. In 1969 there are two codes for a Chevelle 4:10 posi. KK, and the KQ which is a HD COPO 4:10 gear. I believe the KQ coded gear has stronger reinforcements internally. I can't believe Volo has non authentic parts on it's LS-6's??? Have you seen situations where the build sheet shows CKK and the rear is coded CRW or the other way around? Also, I thought that these codes were for dealer installed gears?
