Mark,
I am compiling research on thinks like spring labels and the like? Any chance of getting a picture of the tag. That way you do not need to wet it too often? the HQ should have 9 coils. What coil (top to bottom) is the tag on? Is the paint still visible? Is it gloss black? The HQ spring is 1 of about 27 springs that was used on the Nova. The options were all added into the total weight of the vehicle. The computer then selected the correct spring for the car and printed it on the Broadcast sheet. Why are you replacing them? Thanks, Greg

Greg, the wife has me all to herself for the long weekend but I did manage to get a photo of the tag out to you so you have mail. The new Eaton springs arrived and I got one rear spring installed before I had to put the tools away for a few days. I will count the coils when I get them out but I am sure these are "HQ". I do not know about what paint was on them. I just cleaned them up and hit them with a black rattle can before I reinstalled them (Driver amature resto). When I took the car in for an alignment they said the front end was too high for the specs I wanted to run. That comment combined with the harsh ride/shackles I always had was enough to convince me to replace all 4 springs and the hand made shackles with quality replacements. I am expecting a stock ride height after I switch the springs. Let me know what you think of the picture. If anyone else wants to see it, click on "Attachment" for a smaller view.

Mark,
I understand about the time with the wife. I did get the email. Picture looks great. I understand that the ride height is suposed to be a little high in the front. Greg

Greg, just an update, they do have 9 coils. The replacements are about the same height but have 10 coils.
