Hey guys, sorry for the delay, been busy. Got pictures of the converter. It has spot welds all the way arouhd the side and a two letter code stenciled on the side. The code is BB if I make it out correctly. Now, I am good with cars and OK with a computer but, I don't know how to post pictures. If someone could coach me or do it for me I have 5 or 6 really nice pictures to show everyone. If it is a real one it is very nice. Also it worked when I removed it 9 years ago.Thanks.....Albert

Joel,
Since this converter is "worth its weight in Gold", as you say ,just exactly how much are you willing to pay for it? |

Copo Pete,
I purchased the Hugger SS/RS from Albert. Based on the info he provided and the Camaro itself I do believe that it is a true L-78/TH400 Van Nuys Camaro. The late model ZL1 currently residing in the engine bay will due for now |

Hello Stefano. I would think for a "CX" built between March-July of 69, with the original tag in tact and all original parts I would respectfully offer $2000.00. Now someone with an ulrta rare COPO needing that transmission would probably go higher, but I don't know what a reasonable offer would be as I don't know anyone who had one and what they sold it for. If you can give me some insight I would gladly accept it. This trans is the only thing from allowing me to have a 100% original drive train in our L-78 (69SS) Joel

If I'm not mistaking Stefano asked what the converter was worth not the complete trans and converter. I would think the trans is what is worth the most money because that is what gets blown up the most. I have also heard those converters were used in other application besides high h.p. cars. I know a guy who says he has a cx trans if you want to buy it for 2k let me know and I will pursue it.
