Default Re: 6 bolt converter

The trans is rare, as I am looking for a "CX" myself. But I remember in older Year One catalog's they had GM valve bodys and pieces for the TH 400 "CX". A guy I talked to down south who used to work on the assembly line at Buick, and now sells transmissions, said the six bolt converter
can be had out of trucks equipped with the TH400 from the factory. I can call him and find out about the part, but any CX TH parts are worth their weight in Gold,I also talked to local tranny people in Chicago, and the difference between a "CD" or a "CX" is the six bolt torque converter, The high shift valve body, and more clutch rings (If that is the right name) inside the trans. that is it. I have been calling trans shops about a GM parts book specifically for high perf. TH400's and still havent found anything.
