Thats very interesting on the dealer trade! But does make sense, sure nice to know the whole story on the car, I really never even gave it a second thought until recently, back then you never paid attention to these things. If I remember correctly it was built in May. Very few options: Did not even have power steering, only an AM radio and that was it.

I don't know what happened to the pop? I asked the fellow a couple of years ago if he had it and said no. I always left it in the glove compartment? He had the interior out of car and car torn apart for many years and never found a build sheet. The only thing he has is the bill of sale I signed. This is probably a stupid question, but does anyone know how many of these 140 speedo cars were ordered? I know the car came with the stock 396-375HP engine, I checked the cowl tag in 1991 and pretty sure it is a May car. In 1992 I was looking for a new car and I happen to Kenny Ross's new dealership, on the wall they had a large picture taken of the old dealership taken in 1968 and right in front sits my Corvette Bronze SS Camaro that I am talking about! I told the salesman I would buy a car if they would give the picture, they did and I did!

Was ther anything special about the trim tag on the 68 Yenkos, I may try to get ahold of the owner and get info off the tag, if he will give it to me? Kind of a strange fellow. I tried to buy the car off him a few times but he would not sell it. The car has been sitting in the same garage for the past 30 years.
