Scuncio, there is not any difference in the base of the open element air cleaners for the Holley or Q-jet. Now there is a difference in the bases from 69 and earlier to the 70 and up. When you say it does not fit what is happening? Do you still have the stock low rise intake and the air cleaner hits the valve covers? If that is the case then you may have the 69 and earlier air cleaner base and you can install the cowl induction air cleaner spacer between the carb and air cleaner base to gain clearance.
