Hello Tim,
Thanks for the info and help. It may have been a typo but my Silver COPO is an X11 code car not X44. It seems that most of the info is already in my data base, but I sincerely appreciate your sharing. Numerous list members have helped to compile my data base and I thank eveyone for all the help. The vin number on my Dover White Yenko is only 13 production units away, but I seek a closer body number to help possibly determine the selling dealer. The BE rear axle housing codes for both my COPOs have the exact same axle tube and casting date.(how is that for close) I currently have the COPO documented back to the second owner who purchased it in 1971. Still seeking help with Lebonon,Ohio Original owner and drag race history. |

Have you compared the body #'s with the vin's I've supplied. The body #'s I supplied were not from those vin's.Find the body #'s from those vin's. What are the body #'s for 649310-649529 are they close. When I first found the car my incling was berger. Have you checked the mso?

Tim,
The spread on those two vins body number wise is 297xxx to 303xxx and they are both O5D built COPOs ,based on the info I have one is a Berger COPO and the other a Roger Bud COPO. Do you have any body numbers within 500? In my business an MSO is a manufacturers statement of origin. The document vehicle dealers use to get a new vehicle titled. No, I do not have this document or are you referring to something else? |

Yes, I checked NICB but no info is on file for the vin. I did discover that the vin was registered incorrectly in Ohio (a couple of numbers were transposed).
Troy has provided his much appreciated assistance and shared info regading Ohio COPO dealers. I just need to contact the City Clerks office in Lebonon and find out who the original owner was and see if he is still with us. |
