I think that line is a reflection from the sun and not a pinstripe, it seems the black car (first one in line) has a similar line and you can tell this is a reflection. The sun seems to be directly above the cars and could cause this illusion?

If I remember correctly, not all the cars in this area were COPO cars, maybe this car with the pinstripes is not a COPO? The salesman I talked to said "some" of the cars were 427s. Since this was almost 33 years ago I may be wrong, but I think this was a general storage area for all Camaros.

The picture in question is from Muscle Car Review, April '87. The pin stripes are clearly visible on the orange car and the other orange car (with black vinyl top)is also a style trim car. The Yenko order/stock numbers can be seen in the car windshields. With a clear reprint from the negative the cars could be identified. I think these are the March built cars with perhaps a few of the style trim 2D built cars. Who has the original photos?

I think they are february and March cars. This would be the second order with the X-44 and X-11 cars. The one with the vinyl roof, hugger orange, looks similar to my car. Without an original picture it is hard to tell even the colors, the "black" may even be dark green?

T Billigen,
While you were walking Yenko's lot 33 years ago, I was customizing my tricycle with high tech Crayola crayons

Scroll back up and have a look at the picture again. I replaced it with a higher resolution and color-corrected scan from the April 87 Muscle Car Review where the picture appeared. There was a color cast in the original magazine reprint which I've compensated for as best as I could. The fender stripe and darker colors should be more distinct now.

I just printed a copy of the new pic and you can clearly see the pinstriping on the orange hardtop. nice.

Jesus I feel like I'm standing right there looking at this fantastic picture..... Now if I could just decide on what color to choose.... hmmmm.

I know that it is supposed to be Green , but the first COPO sure looks Black while the fourth one in the same line looks dark Green.
I would pick the one with the Endura Bumper! I think?

While I was walking through Yenko, I was buying a new L-88 short block for my 68 camaro! "450.00", bet you would like to buy one for that price now!
