Default Yenko Nova question

Hello All,

Just introduced to this great forum. I ran into a page about the 69 Yenko nova. The article contains info and pictures that might be of interest to this group. The article mentions that of the 37 purchased 7 of were not converted. Does anyone know the configuration of these 7 cars when they left the dealership? Here is the link.

Thanks

Nofun

So then there were only 30 427 Yenko Novas?

BTW, Welcome and glad you found the sight.

i feel very fortunate to have located one. i'll have to look at the title, it was reassigned to me. i do not know but where three more are, the rest i don't know. the ones i know whereabouts of are in ca., wash., tenn., and mine in nc. carl dwiggins sold a solid rallye green 69 sYc 10 years ago and i could find out who he sold his to as i see him weekly. i am sorry randy miller sold the first one he had to someone in canada. what a neat car!by the way it was fathom green with a vinyl top.

Default Re: Yenko Nova question

I frequent a few of the local cruise nights. I was talking Deuces with a few friends, as we recently purchased some parts from a guy who owns a Rally Green Deuce. He was at the Dupage County fair grounds selling some of his take offs. Nice guy, was also into bikes and lives in the Western Suburbs.

I recognized his Deuce in the "Nova" magazine and was telling the Guys who had cleaned out his parts collection ,that was his Deuce.

Anyway, some one from the crowd steps forward and says," I have a Yenko Nova". Yeah right I say under my breath. Where is it ,I politly ask? He points , "right over there".

Over there, is the parking lot of a McDonald's.
We walk over and admire a "done", Yenko Nova. Of Course ,I have to be the Jerk and ask, "is it real?" He says yeah, it's real, waits a couple of minutes while we scratch our heads and then drives off into the night.

Never had a chance to ask his name. I was told he was the lone rider

This Yenko looked just like yours Kevin, and that is why I am currious.

Whomever he is, he must of laughed all the way home, just by the expression on our faces ,Knowing what he was driving.

Never saw it again.

Was this your Yenko?

If I remember right Gary Dyer from Illinois also owned a 1969 Yenko Nova before he sold off his collection.
