You know, there just might be such a thing as a "1966 SS Z28" lurking somewhere in the Northwest. I'm not saying that this eBay car is one of them, but the seller's claims are not that outlandish if you think about it.

The first 17 Z28s were built Dec 29-30, 1966. In Chevrolet's rush get the cars to Daytona on time, the first 16 cars used a 4P (SS) body, instead of the correct 4L (Z28) code used afterwards. Seattle dealer Alan Green received Z28s #5, #6, and #7. Portland dealer Ron Tonkin ordered Z28 #8.

So a 1967 Z28 built in the last week of December 1966 and badged as a 4P car (of which there were 16) could arguably be called a 1966 SS Z28 car.
