COPO, Has your '71 been in any publications? I'd love to see some pics! I'd also like to find some pics of Bill Ogle's car (green standard front SS). Anyone know him?

My car has been featured in several publications. Here's a list:

1) Hot Rod; November 1980
2) Muscle Car Review; August 1989
3) Muscle Cars; March 1990
4) Chevy Action (cover car); March 1993 <=== I'm looking for this issue.
5) Muscle Cars Calendar; 1995
6) Muscle Car Review (cover car); October 1997
7) Used by ERTL for making the Red/White striped 1970 BM Camaro (have letter from Ertl)

The 10-97 MCR issue is probably the best as there are quite a few color pictures. The original owner is a dentist from PA who is still around. It was previously owned by John Scanelli and was restored by Greg Donahue, although it still has 80% original paint. I plan to bring the car to the next Supercar Reunion. See you there.

You can see Kevin's '71 BM Camaro in April/May '96 MCR (cover car). Do not know anything about Bill Ogle's green '71 other than caption that was in Chevy Rumble recently.

I found some pics of Bill Ogle's '71. This one looks to be converted from a Z-28 (dual stripes) Lemme see if I can get this to work:

..and if that didn't work try this link:

That car looks great with those slot mags, not sure of brand, they all looked alike. Hey Whitetop you could probably help on this one.

I noticed one thing is that not all cars got the Motion fender emblem. It seems on some of the SS based cars he left the SS emblems on them and replaced the engine size with a 454 emblem from the Impala or from the Chevelle.

Hey is that exact hood still available anywhere? The Harwood hood does not have that long of a scoop on it. Also I was just looking through my old Motion catalog and noticed that he possibly built some of these hoods by bonding a scoop onto the stock hood as he did on some of the Chevelles. Any thoughts............RatPack..................

Hello
That same hood is still available from Legendary Fiberglass in PA who made the original BM hoods for this car. They have been in business for 35+ years. Use to be known as 'Fastglass" and then later "Manufactures Associates" They will still sell you this hood. They are $375. The only diff between the hoods available today is back then they used a chopper gun and today it is handlaid. Larry said they are still using the same mold. Larry made most of the glass for Motion. The pics of the underhood shot on Bills car look just like the Legendary hood today and used the same rear bracing under the back section.

Do not use a Harwood, the L-88 scoop is not as tall and not as long.

I saw this car 12 years ago in PA. It had the original International MFG slots on it, which are the same as in the pics.
Rear is 15x8.5 with M/T L-60-15 tires Indy profile tires. Bill added the spinners and Motion decals to the spinners. I saw the car when it only had the International non spinner center caps, which is how it came from Motion-much cleaner look in my opinion. I have never seen an original Motion car in the mags from back then that had the Motion emblems on the center caps but I could be wrong. International is no longer in business. Ansen/US mags/International/ all look to be from the same mold.
I'm pos on the rears but fronts are either 15x7 or 14x7 but appear to be 15x7.

Dave
