On the left as look at it, which would show up after the vin, there is a space and then a "H". Directly under the H is a "6", which is on the same line as the rear end numbers, But it would show up about 3/4 of an inch after those numbers. Directly under the 6 is a chevy symbol that is inverted. Any idea what the 133 stands for?

I'm Back: In my microfilm copy from GM, after the 9010BE, the code 931AAO is next and then the 9737AA. What does the middle code stand for? Is that another COPO code? Also, was there different versions of 9737AA.? Could you get 9737BA? Also what is the code for automatics. ? Someone must have the buildsheet for a automatic car.

Marlin,
I don't know if I've ever seen a POP with a trans code on it. I have a bunch for 69 POPs. I have seen some auto trans codes with the D or N shift code on them.
Pete,
I've seen codes like 931AA0 on 69 Camaro microfiche sheets. Do other cars on the sheet have a similar code?

Kurt, glad to see you aboard. 90% of the cars listed have a 935AAO but some have 964AA0, 938AA0, 940AAO, 941AAO, 942AAO. Only mine has the 931AAO. On the sheet also the trans is listed as M20AFO and I see other cars listed with M21AAO. What is the letter designation?
I still always thought the cars tranny was ordered separatly. The code for Chevelle 9566BA was for 427 automatic. 9566AA was the code for 427 four speed, but the code remained the same for M22, M21 of M20. Am I wrong here? If not, why would 1970 be any different, you just ordered the tranny you wanted.

Kurt/Pete;
I stand corrected, the A,B, or C, is not on the POP as I had thought.

My underlying quest with this post is to determine if GM changed COPO 9737 for the Canadian cars vs. the Yenko cars by putting the M21 into the Yenkos only?

On the Canadian documentation it lists COPO 9737AA, on Yenko's order form is lists COPO 9737CA - but Yenko was ordering 4speeds w/ power steering on this particular form, and I don't have his order form for 4speeds without p/s like the Canadian cars. I think the difference in the suffix letters pertains to the power steering?? or the M21 vs. the M20??? Any thoughts?

JoeC: You are correct with the deciphering of the '133' on the POP.

Talked to the origianl salesman of my car this morning. He says he still has the lists of what all the COPO packages included. He'll get back to me next week and fax the info to me. Stay tuned.
