definition; re-store (re*stor'), To bring back to, or put back into, the former or original state. (and then burn the tires off of it).
One of my 1963 Z06 Corvettes, is in its race prepared package. I think this is one of its former states in history, thus restored.
The Yenko's had a GM copo number (9737), for the modifications. This means GM intended these cars to be final prepared as they were, in all of its circus wear RESTORED.
Just my opinion.
