Default Re: Barrett Jackson 69 Yenko Camaro sold?

Maybe there was a Yenko aat the other auction that was going on at the same time. I was there and talked to a bunch of guys and there was never a mention of a '69 Yenko. The only Yenko I saw or heard of was the Deuce (of which we are now the proud owners. Whether or not Charley was on something, that would be a seperate topic for discussion especially after watching him take pictures of the screws holding the '68 together!!

Brian,
I have to "back up" what the other guys said. I did not see a Rally Green 1969 Yenko Camaro at Barrett. I walked the show tents numerous times and the only "Super Cars" that I saw were the Red Deuce, the "Nickey" Camaro, and the Z-16 Chevelle. The guys were right, it was a light showing. I would have liked to have met the other guys from the club, maybe next year we can all meet somewhere.
Andrew

Hey, they were cool screws..... I went to Jackson's page and there were only 4 69 Camaro's listed,3 were Z28's and One Pace Car. Maybe Mike is on Crack. If you like cars in General, it really is a show to see. We were almost drunk enough to Bid on a 70 Firebird concept car that sold for about 65,000.

Marlin,
My heart said buy the Z-16, but, my wallet said NO!!! I did not make any purchases. I love the auction but I think that the prices are way too high. Someone paid $21,000 for a 1967 Gold RS Camaro with a 2bbl 327. I think that the market has been doing too well and there is too much spendable income out there. I hope that the economy stays strong ,but, some of the prices are way too silly.

I bought nothing except Hot Link Sandwiches. I have No Mo Money. I'm even toying with the idea of putting the Deuce on Ebay. I saw that 67 RS, these are Nutty times.

Don't forget that the guy that bought the RS also had to pay a bidder commision of $1680 bringing the real cost of the car to $22680. The wife said I have to part with our '69 Z28 which we have had 12 years. It is gorgeous non number matching DZ302. Anybody interested at $23000? Charley maybe you could put together a package for EBAY.
