Default Re: 1969 Scuncio Chevrolet ad

Yenko Duece Registry,

------I cant remember what the date was,but I took that green ZL-1 for a drive around the block right off the floor of Scuncio when new. They had a real hard time selling it at the time.I always attributed it to the fact that,in showroom condition it was actually pretty slow. That, and the price of course.
------I had heard at the time that they actually took the motor out and put in a more normal big-block to get the car to go away.Let me stress that that was an unsubstantiated rumor. For all I know the car may have the original powertrain. However it did feel pretty slow.I ended up buying a 396/350 Camaro with chambered exhaust.it actually felt as fast or faster.Probably just the extra exhaust noise in retrospect.........Bill S
