Those #'s are DNP sequence codes, and are a one of a kind code for each car for the assembly line workers. They match the code in Box # 24 on the build sheet. Each plant had their own set of codes also, so it is very hard , to impossible to decode these #'s.

Have a question about the CPD engine code.
My '71 LS5 - with original motor - is a CPD engine code. T0810CPD. Has a T400 automatic as well. Build sheet verifies this that it is a 365hp and the motor that came with the car. I see that the only combination listed is a 4 speed car unless you had a Monte Carlo. Is this an oversight on the website or am I reading something incorrectly? |

The book lists the 454/365 TH400 engine with a CPD code for a 1971 Chevelle, Monte Carlo, and Passenger.
