I'm somewhat biased, but I think I would have to agree with you Bill.

I love it's understated complexities.

Nope. The heads were removed from the block many years ago and were stored separately for a few decades. When Rod came into possession of the engine and heads, he cleaned and surfaced both heads as well as ran a pass over the deck surface. Once the new cam goes in, his assembly guy will measure the pistons in each hole, check piston to valve clearance, setup the heads and record all measurements onto a build sheet before I pick it up.

Thinking I am going to stick with my original plans and keep the small block motor in my 55 build and push to get it finished in the coming week rather than tearing back into it. It's time to start enjoying the fruits of my labor rather than starting new builds, especially when I have some travel plans taking shape for Europe.

As for this LS7 motor, I will probably move it along to someone who wants an NOS crate motor for a special hi-po car. Hope you enjoyed the pics of the ink stamps and paint marks on this one.
