Default 1968 Camaro Windshield

Looking to replace my windshield in my 68 Camaro convertible. Anyone have any good experiences about particular glass brands? My current one is a PPG and I've read they don't make windshields anymore for older Camaros. Like everybody I want to get a good quality windshield and do it once! Thanks,Jim.

These guys are much more reasonably priced. They claim to do date coding also. I'm sure it's imported so not sure what that means for lead times and tariff impacts.

I have used their glass, not concours but no issues otherwise.

I used ECS for my 69. It was a good quality. Offshore that required it to be set differently because of the thickness....Joe

PPG was bought out long ago. I have a Pennington brand windshield in my Chevelle from Auto City and I think I remember they had the PPG equipment at that time,,, 10 years ago, and were still made in the USA.
Call Auto City and ask them where their glass is made now. No guessing with a 5 minute call.
I have a full set of replacement glass from them, but only had the windshield out to test fit the replacement lower channel and don't recall the markings of manufacturer now. If it was warmer, I'd slide that out of the crate to see, but don't really want to disturb it in 20 degree weather and have it crack from unsupported flexing.

Thanks Mitch. I'll call Auto City and see what type of glass they can get. It sounds like Pilkington is a decent glass.

Auto City Classics sends you a worksheet to fill out so you get exactly what your original glass had.
