----The serial # 3003 Cobra that my cousin owned is now in Dana Mecums collection. Found that out at MCACN this past year. Glad I at least know where it is. Had a couple of seriously hair raising rides in that Cobra when my cousin Dave owned it....Bill S

Wonder if the silver blue 1963 Corvette is mine.

What a fun time to have been around, all guys my age got were IROC Camaros and 5.0L Mustangs.

Thanks for posting that. Another great car.

As noted in the auction narrative, Richard drove this car to the pre-merger reunion I attended back in June. I don't remember the car the summer I worked there - but based on the noted timeline it looks like it came back in the fall after I would have been gone. Since Witz and Richard were involved in the recent purchase and restoration - you know it is spectacular and perfect. Witz had a black SEL the summer I worked there that I became familiar with. These are great cars that are getting a lot of respect again.

It really was - especially now looking back. At the time we knew much of the stuff was pretty cool and desirable but really had no idea how significant and rare some of it was. We were just fortunate to be around it constantly when we were growing up......GS #001, multiple fuelie's, air cars, 396's, LS6's, etc. Richard had an amazing ability to source really good stuff from all genre's of cars and then be able to market and sell them for what seemed like crazy money at the time. He was way ahead of his time in creating a marketplace for these cars before they got popular among the masses. Bill S. and Stretch would frequently show up at our house with something amazing that they picked up.

We had plenty of friends with IROC's and 5.0's too. Still have our 87 Turbo T-Type from new.
