The very quick and firm shift absolutely grabs your attention 1/2 and 2/3 is still there!!!

Is the steer wheel OG to the car? You always see those on these cars, but when I went though a 70 Z for a buddy, we searched for a OG wheel that looked more like an Impala Steer wheel.

I'll add to the sidebar on solid lifters with TH400.
55 years ago my red SS Chevelle was powered by 2nd design L88/M20 with 4.88s and 10" slicks. Looking for a better launch on the street I built a 400 with the governor reworked for full throttle shifts at 7200. Game changer! and when it hit 2nd is was a launch all over again.
