Unhappy Greg Biffle and Family

Terrible, terrible small plane crash in NC claimed the life of Greg Biffle, his wife, and two children. Beyond horrendous. Prayers for their souls and loved ones.

It is terrible. Before I moved from Mooresville to Texas 5 years ago he lived about a mile and half from me. I didn't know him personally but Greg was a neighbor of one of my sons HS buddies and visited him at his shop out back often. Said he was a real nice down to earth guy. I enjoyed watching him and Cletus McFarland and crew drive old motorhomes to do the "Tail of the Dragon" and then drive them on to the Talladega race this past summer.

Sad story & saw some preliminary on this and the flight data was crazy climbs and decent I am a private pilot myself and flying is a dangerous business . Lost a lot of freinds much more than in my years of drag racing. So sad to hear a story like this but it happens far too often. You can be in a multi million dollar jet and it’s still dangerous. People think the technology makes it safer some eve believe it’s fool proof but there’s no where to pull over up there. Looks like run away trim or fighting the autopilot at first glance. Will be a while before NTSB has answers. No matter though the outcome is sad and horrendous either way.
May god bless them and all surrounding them.

There was a well known aerobatics pilot recently crashed and died. He was killed because he added weight to the elevator and because he wanted to keep a decal on the outside he added it inside. It got jammed and he perished. The location of A sticker cost him his life. That’s how flying is something so simple can mean disaster.
