Default DZ block orphan

I picked up a DZ block the other day that has some damage from freezing. Someone tried to repair it. So I posted on CRG and Kurt says its red and survives in Ca. but doesn't know anything else about it. its 09 15 DZ and the vin appears to be 9N692076 I will try to get a couple pics. of the stampings. Would like to reunite the block with the car even if its bad if the owner is interested. Do you guys think lost muscle care could be of any help. Thanks Kerry

Another great example of how including VIN digits in postings here can pay off years later.
Whole Vins are better being new/old owners sometimes Google them for history or past sales/ads etc also others w/ Vinned blocks/trans looking for the cars/owners.

Thank you Bruce for informing me of the thread. I have not been on the site in a long time and have almost 100 messages !

Anyway, as best I remember I bought this Z/28 off a lawn in Kansas City sitting on cinder blocks. I had the body restored by Mike's Custom Cars in S Carolina. I actually sold the body and when the buyer never picked it up I bought it back. Then someone reached out to me and made an offer and I sold it. Last I saw it was in N Carolina and was being built out into a high end pro tour car.

At one point this body came up for resto but a bird had nested in it. I did not want to disturb the babies so I postponed and it was two years before another slot opened

I will try to track the persons information down and would be happy to put you two in touch.

Thanks for putting it out there Kurt.

Van thanks a lot for posting. I would guess the owner wouldn't have much interest in the block with a pro touring car. I want to thank everyone for helping on this. The site and people are amazing. Thanks Kerry

Thankfully you posted your tag picture and the VIN, and I grabbed them, else the connection wouldn't have been made.
