Bill, it had them when Paul Noble had it at BG back in 1985. He removed them no later than 1991. I have an old Vette magazine article showcasing his collection in 1991 and it had the stock exhaust back in place.

Did they keep changing the rear panel depending on the pipes were on or off ?

I saw this car in person at Bloomington Gold meet in Indy the year of an L88 celebration 2018. Did not have side pipes at that time.

I agree on the thoughts concerning adding the side exhaust, but still what a rare and great example of a 69 Corvette.
