Nicely done for a clone. I'm glad to see they acknowledge it's 6 cylinder birth.

Incorrect shifter boot and carpet seal and those pieces are basically made of unobtaimium. Still very nice though. What did it sell for?

Perhaps when Ken B. purchased 153116L195463 before landing here w/ questions? ![]() Bummer if 6-Cyl. VIN and heritage was news to him but gotta admire how he took it like a man also even said thank you plus instead of hiding the facts, mentions it all specifically in his own BAT sale listing. Cheers to Ken Brogan also hope whoever ends up w/ the car doesn’t re-vin it.![]() ![]() ~ Pete .

The VIN tag variation you’re seeing isn’t unusual for mid-’60s GM builds. Sometimes a change in options or plant sequencing caused the body tag and VIN plate (Chevrolet final assembly) to get slightly out of sync, especially if the order was updated midstream. If all your components date correctly and the car’s configuration matches an L72 setup, then I think you’re on the right track.

Myself as the pessimist. I thought it would fetch more than $32K.
But the "market" is starting to find the correct level after the past few years... |

he didn't sell it at $32K, that bid did not meet his reserve. With 70 Chevelle SS, Camaro Z28s COPOs and Hemi replicas selling for north of $80k it's about time the market wises up. 'Real' cars are always going to bring the money at least until the last of 'us' are gone.
