Default Corvette and More TI Distributor (Part Number: 1111263)

Corvette and More Transistorized Ignition (TI,T.I.) Distributor

Part Number: 1111263 dated 5D9 (5=1965, D=4th Month/April, 9=9th Day.. or April 9th, 1965).

These 1111263 distributors have a ball bearing supported shaft, instead of just a bushing, and thus were desired/used by so many of the best race teams from the 1960s to the early 1980s.

This particular distributor uses a magnetic pole with white/white wire (with a green painted/ink tracer). In my experience, this type of pole piece was the best that GM/Chevy offered, whereas the white/solid green wire items (no painted tracer) have failed us in race car applications. The GM/Chevy resistance check of the magnetic pole piece was performed, and passed within (500-700 ohms) desired.
