You have an original 6-cylinder car. The Cowl Tag will always state a V8.

the original protecto plate that I have has the code F0329FA. In researching this that code on the plate represents

F- Flint Michigan
0329 - March 29 1966 - engine assembly date
FA - 427 CID / 425 HP - L72 engine with manual transmission (M21)

ID is the 427-425hp suffix code for a '66 full size Chevrolet.

Default 1966 Biscayne question
Thank You everyone for your assistance. Now I know what I have here. The parts on this car are all L72 correct with correct dates. Somebody spent a great deal of time and money putting this together.
