Default Front Coil Springs F41 paint color from factory?

I got a used pair of correct factory F41 coil springs. These fit 72 Nova SS Model. What color paint was used for these coil springs?

Not sure it helps but these look natural grey.
Note upper ball joint is not painted either.
Some overspray on exhaust manifold also.

Chassis is 67 full size.

Just pointing out the springs look un-painted.

I soaked mine in Evap-o-rust. Rinsed & let them dry. I went over the dry springs with 0000 steel wool & shot them with satin clear....Joe
