Crazy joe that there's nothing after the Muncie P0429 date stamp the Identifies which Muncie is in it?

Thanks Joe. Looks like the 66 L79 Nova Muncie was mated to rear ratio.
M21 close ratio was mated with 373 or a 411 gear while a wide ratio was anything under the 373 gears.

Have never seen the "A, B, or C" shown on a POP to identify the model of Muncie (M-20, M-21, or M-22) even beginning with the 1969 model year when the actual stampings on the transmission started to include the letter at the end of the stamping to designate the trans model. For whatever reason, the POP didn't have that information, at least all the ones that I have seen.

Also little known is the year shown on the trans stamping is not necessarily the year of the trans manufacture, but is actually the model year of the car, so in other words a trans with a 9 as the first number stamped could still be a trans manufactured in 1968, but in a 1969 model year car.

Gorgeous Chevy II's. Great color combos.
