This fun 1969 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible has been beautifully restored and is powered by a dual-port 1.6L engine. The Volkswagen Beetle, officially the Volkswagen Type 1, is a small family car produced by the German company Volkswagen from 1938 to 2003. Considered a global cultural icon, the Beetle is widely regarded as one of the most influential cars of the 20th century. Its production period of 65 years is the longest of any single generation of automobile and its total production of over 21.5 million is the most of any car of single platform and second-most of any nameplate produced in the 20th century. As the original VIN number indicates this example was built as a Volkswagen Type 1 Beetle Convertible built in 1969. It was the product of a body-off meticulous multi-year refurbishment from 2013 to 2022. Countless hours and dollars were invested resulting in a show quality restoration. It was purchased by MS CLASSIC CARS in May of 2025. This vehicle has been completely serviced and detailed by MS CLASSIC CARS which is documented with an invoice that's included. Since completion it's been driven 165 test miles and treated with the best of care.

The exterior presents extremely nice and the color combination is eye-catching. During the refurbishment process the body was stripped to bare metal, prepped, primed and repainted. The body is straight and has nice panel fitment throughout. It was refinished in the beautiful shade of Red which dresses it well. The paint was recently detailed to a brilliant finish by the team at MS CLASSIC CARS. It was outfitted with a new black canvas soft top that fits like a glove. A matching convertible top cover is included. Everything on the exterior was restored or replaced new including the glass, wiper arms, antenna, mirrors, parking lights, headlights, trunk handle, front bumper, door handles, body moldings, running boards taillights and rear bumper. It rolls on chrome 15” wheels with VW logo hubcaps and are mounted with 165/80 Nankang CX-668 tires.

The interior also presents extremely nice and the color matches the exterior theme. The cabin was stripped, prepped, primed and repainted in red. Everything in the interior was restored or replaced new such as the sun visors, rear view mirror, dash knobs, door panels, shifter, pedals and carpeting. The new two-spoke steering wheel wears a chrome horn-ring and fronts a VDO 90-mph speedometer with an inset fuel level gauge. The front bucket seats and rear bench were rebuilt and reupholstered in black with red inserts. Some features include a passenger grab handle, glovebox, three-point front seatbelts, rear seat belts, cabin heater and a RetroSound digital stereo. The spacious front trunk compartment was nicely restored and painted red. The wiring, hoses and fuel tank were replaced new. It's equipped with a new trunk liner and full size spare.

The engine compartment is highly detailed throughout with all new parts. The engine bay has new black tarboard insulation which helps reduce engine noise and heat from entering the passenger compartment. This bug is powered by a new dual-port 1.6L flat-four engine which was sourced from Darryl's Air-Cooled Engines located in Neosho, MO. The company offers brand new hand crafted engines with zero miles. The engine is rated with 75 horsepower which is roughly 15 more horsepower then it was from the factory. Some of the upgrades include a new wiring, PerTronix Flame-Thrower distributor, Bosch ignition coil and chrome air cleaner. The engine breathes through a new exhaust system that sounds sweet through the chrome exhaust pipes. The power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle. The differential was rebuilt and the transaxle mounts were replaced during the refurbishment.

The undercarriage is also highly detailed throughout with many new parts. The floor pan was refinished in black and presents like new. Everything was restored or replaced during the refurbishment such as the steering, suspension and braking components.
This vehicle has a clean Florida title and being offered from the MS CLASSIC CARS Collection for the first time with NO RESERVE!
