the chevy dealer service information bulletin no# 69-I-1, dated sept 19 1968 identifies the Y as below:

*Y - 427 Cu in 425 H.P (Chevrolet)
427 Cu in 430 H.P (Corvette)
427 Cu in 435 H.P (Corvette)
396 Cu in 375 H.P (Chevelle, Nova, Camaro)

* High Shift Point
