Good to hear the owner is still prioritizing the quality of the place.

Always liked Milan. I was there in the early days when they still had the overhead Christmas Tree.

Understand they are planning to have pits totally redone ala Martin, which I assume means cutting down all the shade trees in the pits. Not my circus, not my monkeys. Time marches on. Comments over on Moparts say the track has been ground flat aready. They aren't messing around.

----The new owner of IHRA mentioned (Darryl Cuttell) lives (when he's here) about a 1/4 mile north of my house on the Saint Clair River. Met him at a cookout 2 or 3 years ago and knew nothing about him. He seems very genuinely a nice guy. He really thinks big as he has a huge piece of land with a 3 story house. The word now is that he also bought the 3 houses north of him and is in the process of tearing them down. He also had a big, big barn with a cottage attached and he mowed that down too. Am unsure of his plan at this point....Bill S

Johnny quick is the track manager. Drivers make good track decisions.

I'm glad it is saved, instead of some developer turning it into condos and shopping malls.

Sounds like major improvements are happening including new stands with concessions under them, new restrooms and the pits are going to be paved with electrical outlets among other things. Was planning on going to the opening Test and Tune on April 23rd until I caught wind of what was happening.
Look forward to going back soon.
