My dad was a great gift giver.

Great pictures, I remember the Krates well. I had a fat tire Campus green five speed StingRay, not a crate. Wheelies all the way to grade school.

I had a "Lemon Peeler" and we lived on a steep hill. We drag raced down the hill with the "Peelers" and I had a makeshift parachute made from a bed sheet tied to the back of the bike. When I crossed the finish line I stood up and the parachute deployed. The front brake worked so well on the "Peeler" when you were going a decent speed you would apply the front brake and pop a backward wheelie!
