It's on the Corvette order form as 450 hp

The dealer order forms were printed with the higher horsepower ratings, but they were overridden by new forms shortly after. Management did not want the higher numbers and saw to it that 450 and 400 were snuffed out before production. Dealers kept using the old forms and confusion was created.

I have some 450 horse paperwork, I’d love to see the document, especially if it’s an orphan document.

----Back in about 1974-75 in Fort Liquerdale I owned a 66 Trophy Blue 66 400 horse a/c, loaded coupe. I Have never run into another paper worked 400HP 66 Corvette. It was also kind of rare as it was ordered with bright blue interior, and I have never seen another in that combo. Sold it to a doctor and about a year later he and his wife moved to the Carolinas somewhere. I've never heard about the car again and would love to!....Bill S

Bill, I have a car like that in my files, but it’s a convertible 400. Are you sure it was a coupe?

----Yup, Tim. It was a favorite of mine. My 1st date with Jan was in that 66 in Lauderdale. Very good memories of that night!....Bill S

Eddie, great document, I’ll search what I can to see if there is any history of the car.

Thank you.

Bill, you must have a picture of the car and your future wife to post.
