I think it was a lack of participation. The first year that I went in 2016 there were many cars there, and not all of them Chevys. Each year the numbers got lower and lower. Last year was pretty bad. Yes, I understand the aging part... And, most likely, the costs associated with the event may have increased, that's just the economics. Jamming it together with Camaro Fest 2 years ago and then last year putting it as an afterthought overshadowed by CF and the lack of time for relaxing and camaraderie the evening before, with the meet and greet combined with the limited track time from 5-10 PM was why I didn't make the trip. Too much of what this event historically supported as the fellowship before and during was lost. It needs to be returned to a stand alone event, as it was until 2 years ago, not overshadowed by a group that has 5-6 times as many cars and dominates the pit area with vendors and a car show.
No disrespect to the organizers for combining them if there was a large financial reason for that. But, to continue doing that would be like combining MCACN with World of Wheels and then, eventually, sending MCACN to the back room of the convention center. If it's a cost increase to go back to "the way it was", then yes, that would need to be assessed and put out to potential participants to gauge willingness to fund it thru participation again.

Remember Chevy Vettefest? That is exactly what my former employer did with CVF after I left and you see how long that lasted.

Doing anything even remotely like that for MCACN will never happen, as we are not only viable and are enjoying growth in nearly every aspect of the show, including sponsorships. Of course, it takes serious work and commitment on the part of many.
