1973 Buick Riviera GS Stage 1 Road Test, Hi Performance Cars February 1973

I've seen a few GS Riviera's over the years but never knew you could get them with a Stage 1 455, apparently they made 1234 of them in 1973.

Default 1969 GS Stage 1 Convertible

Buicks Stage 1 engines were powerful torque monsters which were needed to propel the intermediate models to some very impressive ETs. The owner Jim sums up Buick performance " going fast with class". A rare car, one of only 212 built as configured.

----Can't remember what I was thinking back in late 72, but I ordered a 73 GS Riviera, Steve. only kept it about 5-6 months and knew I made a mistake. Not a bad ride at all, just wasn't me!....Bill S
