Sad news and puzzling at the same time. I read an online article that stated what Crush said. Gene, his wife and dog were all found dead in their home. No foul play suspected. I would guess carbon monoxide, gas leak, something like that.

Sad is right, great actor. Monoxide poisoning was my first guess too, but I read an article a couple hours ago, that they were not "together" as initial reports made it sound.
