Why in the world would they put a 4 cylinder in a vehicle that almost weighs 5,000 lb? Adding a turbo to that 4 cylinder is just going to make it work that much harder.

I wouldn't walk across the street to get one for free.

To reduce costs and meet ever changing emissions requirements.

The turbo 4 has been the base engine in 1500 series pickups for several years now. These engines have been around long enough for any bugs worked out and improvements to have been made that they shouldn't be having catastrophic failures like Steve's daughter experienced, that's inexcusable.
I would demand a different replacement vehicle.
