Zip code on the protectoplate? Some dealers did include that with the date of sale after.

The first protectoplate show is a replacement, which is why it doesn't have the carb code. Most of the replacements I have seen look just like that and the color codes are often funky. Someone at the dealership had to fill out the form to request one and if they read the info wrong then wrote that, the plate would have goofs. Guy probably misread the suffix code as TL or his handwriting was hard to read on the form.

I've seen a few 66 and 67 replacements that had xxx for the color codes.

The original owner probably lost the original book.
