The car has stainless calipers on it and all looked to be good. So, flush the brake fluid. Old fashion gravity bleed is in order here......
![]() Ball joints as mentioned...... ![]() ![]() Original radiator...... ![]() The clock was inop, so I pulled that to send it out. ![]() Then my usual dive into the gauge cluster. Most every one of these car responds well to pulling the cluster, and cleaning the gauge faces along with the lenses.Soooooo...... this is how I go about that...... Pull the steering column and the drivers seat...... ![]() Suit up with the necessary equipment and tools...... ![]() Lay my fat ass in there and disconnect everything to pull the cluster. You can see the lenses are not that clear in these pics. I'll get everything cleaned up and reassembled. Quite honestly, it takes me about an hour to pull the column, seat, and cluster (assuming everything comes apart nicely. I'll rebulb everything and test the gauges for accuracy. ![]() ![]() |

Added to the 67, I bought this 249 mile 30th anny Trans Am from it's original owner (about an hour north of me). I just love these cars.......

I was thinking the same thing, Bill. Apparently his fat, uh, butt, doesn't hinder the process. I can't imagine me fumbling thru this under 4 hours, the first time. I've been reading hints of this car for a while now and preparing myself to be jealous of, yet, another big block '67 and this car IS a very nice color and the combination works well together. Thankfully, as a base 327, it's not one I am coveting... ![]()

I saw a guy repeatedly R&R the seats on an old Porsche to do similar work, and was complaining about what a pain it was getting to all the fasteners. He didn't realize the seats are designed to slide forward, all the way off the tracks, so they can be removed in 30 seconds. Last edited by SupremeDeluxe; 01-06-2025 at 12:01 PM. |

The windshield frame in this car is beautiful
![]() ![]() Pulled the radio to start cleaning on that. The volume knob was real "scratchy" so I cleaned that and some other contacts in the radio. ![]() ![]() This is my go to for delicate electronics ![]() Finished up rebulbing the dash and installed the cluster. This always makes such a noticeable difference. ![]() |

While waiting for what is (hopefully) the last load of parts, I got the chassis cleaned up and wiped down. I'm very pleased with how this came out.
