I would definitely not ever take it back to stock. The car has more history the way it sits now, I think. And, I'd run the slots full time but that's because Magnum 500s don't really do much for me these days (zero disrespect meant here). Cool car and cool story.

I love the slots, but I refuse to remove the brand new 45ish year old bias plys, and no one makes a G60/14 or Ff60/14 anymore.

I love this junkyard dog. Unfortunately I didn't get into the yards until the late '80s and everything was already gone. I couldn't imagine what it was like in the early seventies.

I think the best thing I ever scored was some 86 Trans Am seats

Great story great car. my buddy had one just like it in high school. Same blue ta hood, black vinyl top. 340 dual quads, racer brown cam, hemi box and a 83/4 w 4.30 gears and cragars

Looks like we're neighbors! I'm only around 10 miles from you. BTW, The air filter box says "Suburban Dodge" on it. That was the tiny dealer on Central Avenue in Metuchen that sold my 1970 Hemi Charger R/T-SE back in 1970.

Wow that Charger is awesome. Yes almost all of the NOS parts came from Suburban Dodge. Tommy believed David had a friend there in the parts department. Hopefully I can check out that Charger one day!

The Charger was sold back in 2013. I think it's in the Marvin collection out in the midwest (the guy that owns Marvin Windows). He bought it from me at Mecum 2013.

Are you looking for some nice original front seats? have black ones that were removed from a Challenger in 1973, they are in great shape but missing the seat tracks. I can't remember if they were for a 70' or 71' if you are interested I can post some pictures this weekend.

I had 8 family members employed at various times by Suburban Dodge between 1961 and 2009. I was the last one there when the shop closed in 2009. Do you know the persons name from the parts department?
