The '02 should have a Torsen differential, which would not use any limited slip additive in the oil. If it has an Auburn then I've found that Torco oil is best for the cone type differentials. The 12 bolt would have the Eaton Posi, which needs the additive. The GM additive works well most of the time. The Ford additive has actually worked better for me in some cases.
