With the POP having the same numbers as the front pad of the motor VO324CTB would that be enough to say it's the original motor? It's a 4-speed car.

Certainly would help I think. There is the remote possibility of two cars with different VINS having the same date of engine build. I remember back in the 90's seeing another V0406CTB engine for sale. I should have grabbed it. It is the same number as my engine.
